Russia may reconsider its migration policies

As the Ombudsman TASS states, if the unemployment rate will rise in Russia, the country's migration policy may be revised. This measure will focus on the fact that the right to protect Russian citizens from employment.

At the moment, providing jobs for the population of Russia is one of the key problems in the country. According to the press service of the Ministry of Labor, the number of officially registered unemployed citizens of Russia rose by 3.1% in November and at the end of the month amounted to 808 thousand people.

According to the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation, from January more than 16,000 workers entered the country. However, many migrant workers are planning to leave Russia due to the devaluation of the ruble.

Previously, the newspaper "Kommersant" reported that due to a sharp weakening of the ruble labor migrants from the CIS countries reduced remittances to their homeland.
