Greek singer Demis Roussos dies aged 6926 january 2015, 17:38 2614 views
Born on 15 June 1946, he was raised in Alexandria, Egypt, by his Greek engineer father and his Egyptian-Italian mother. The family moved to Greece after losing all their possessions during the Suez Crisis.
Roussos enjoyed a string of international successes as a solo performer in the Seventies, after being a member of progressive rock group Aphrodite’s Child. He was best known for his solo hits in the 1970s and 80s, including Forever and Ever, Goodbye and Quand je t'aime.
