As representatives of the finance company Kagin's (which now represent the interests of the family) say, eight rotten cans stuffed with gold were dicovered by Americans on their plot of land in April last year. Cans contained about 1.4 thousand coins dated at middle and end of the XIX century. All coins are in excellent condition.
Their value is confirmed professional numismatist David Hall. One of the coins is estimated at $1 million.
Most of the treasure couple will put up an online auction, and the remaining - will be given to the American Association of numismatists.
