37-year-old referee from Uzbekistan became the fifth in the list according to the IFFHS (International Federation of Football History & Statistics), scoring 37 points.

55 experts from around the world have chosen an arbitrator Nicola Ritsolli (Italy) as the leader of the rating. Howard Webb (England), Felix Brych (Germany) and Bjorn Kuipers (Netherlands) took second, third and fourth places respectively.

Irmatov’s career began in 1996, when he played for the club of the first division championship of Uzbekistan "Gazalkent", but after a serious injury ended his playing career as a football player. In 2003, at age 25, was admitted to the FIFA football referee.

From 2008 to 2011, Irmatov was recognized as the best referee of Asia, thus becoming the first referee in the history of the AFC to receive this award four times in a row. In 2013, he entered the top ten best referees in the world by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics, finishing 8th. All Irmatov served 9 matches at the world championships, which is a record for the referees.
